Our pub is in danger

After turning the Golden Lion from a traditional 140 year old pub that served food, into a rather unwelcoming restaurant, the owner failed and closed it. It has lain empty and neglected for years.

He has now applied to demolish it and build houses on the site. This is the only pub in the village and is important to the community.

A public meeting has been held and there ia a summary on the Parish Council Website

The Chester Chronicle has a article about the campaign, and a Facebook page has been set up .

Now strenuous efforts are on hand to buy it for the community Details can be found at Ashton Hayes Community Hub Save the Golden Lion
